Doctor Who Comics Day 2016

I’m still jetlagged, having just got back from another incredible CONvergence. This year, after one incredible night of big beat fan dancing, Chuck Tingle and karaoke, I stumbled over to a picture window around 4am to see the dawn and thought ‘I’ll just keep going’, and had a bellini for breakfast, and hence… the jetlag from hell.

If you drop down this Facebook page for a few posts, you’ll find video of me reading from Who Killed Sherlock Holmes? at the convention.  I’ll link to more videos, of panels and such, as they appear.

This Saturday, 9th July, doing my bit for Doctor Who Comics Day 2016, I’ll be signing at London’s Gosh! Comics between 11am and Noon.

Gosh signing

I hope to be rather more bouncy by that point.

While I was away, the latest edition (#13) of my podcast, The Cornell Collective, came out, featuring novelist Joe Abercrombie, comicker Marguerite Bennett and TV and prose fantasist Stephen Volk.  It’s a good one, I think, in that we go quite deep.

As part of Comicosity’s Make Comics Week, I contributed to several guest blogs of theirs, on the subjects of The Business, Con Survival, My Office and Surviving Deadlines.  These are nice collections of advice from a whole bunch of pros, suitable for anyone trying to break into comics.

And finally, artist Andrew Skilleter now has prints for sale of various of his Doctor Who New Adventures covers, including Timewyrm: Revelation.

I will now return to slowly acclimatising, and hope to see some of you on Saturday.  Cheers.
